In 2025, the NGO “Tochka rynovagy” in partnership with Plan International and the CF “Posmishka”, with the financial support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark, implemented the project “Expanding emergency humanitarian assistance and protection of vulnerable groups in hard-to-reach regions of Ukraine”.
The project was aimed at strengthening support for people in communities most affected by the consequences of the war, as well as at strengthening the assistance system through support for specialists who work with vulnerable groups on a daily basis.

Main areas of work

The implementation of the project covered two key components: providing cash assistance to families in difficult life circumstances and supervisory support for psychologists and social workers in communities.

Cash assistance to families
Within the framework of the project, 671 people received financial support for a total amount of UAH 7,246,800.

Among the recipients of assistance:
39% – large families
29% – families raising children with disabilities
18% – single mothers and fathers
4% – low-income families
3% – foster and adoptive families
7% – families referred by partners

This support allowed families to cover basic needs during a difficult period – to purchase medicines, provide children with necessary things, pay for utilities and partially stabilize household expenses. For many recipients, this became not only financial assistance, but also an important sense of stability and support.

Support of specialists: supervisory component
A separate important direction was supervisory support for specialists working in the field of psychosocial assistance.
47 psychologists and social workers from 13 communities of Kharkiv and Donetsk regions were involved in regular group supervisions. The work took place in 4 groups and included 8 meetings for each of them.
This format has allowed professionals to discuss complex cases, receive professional support, find new approaches to work, and prevent burnout. The saved resource of professionals directly affects the quality of care received by children, adults, and families in the communities.

Project Significance

 

The project has made an important contribution to supporting vulnerable groups in difficult times. It has combined direct assistance to families with systemic support from professionals who provide this assistance.
Thus, the project’s impact goes beyond numbers – it is about people who were able to receive the necessary support, and about a system that continues to operate thanks to the preserved professional resource.
